Drawing a Tiger

My Nan is turning seventy on the 29th and as we were going to be in England for her birthday, I thought I’d make her a piece of art. My Nan loves tigers so I decided on drawing one and colouring it in with colour pencils. I used a normal sketching pencil and Faber Castell colour pencils. It took me five days to complete it and to be honest, I think this is one of the best pieces of art I have created. I really hope she likes it.

This is the picture that I based it off of. I got it from the internet and started sketching it out with a pencil. After that, I proceeded to colour it in with Faber Castell colour pencils. I used quite a lot of orange, brown and yellow tones in the picture.

These are a few of the stages of creating my art piece.

After I finished it, I brought a frame from HobbyCraft and framed the picture. I was so happy with how it turned out and I really think she is going to like it.

Thanks for reading!
